US-Friendly Online Poker Rooms
Believe it or not: you can still play online poker as a US player.
Many players are aware and have been affected by the events of Black Friday, which included the domain name seizures of three top-US facing sites: Poker Stars, Full Tilt Poker and the Cereus Network sites. Despite being kicked off of these sites, US poker players are still allowed at many online poker rooms.
Players may assume that they only have options at smallest sites. This is incorrect. PokerTrikz offers rakeback and special promotions on five different networks. Yes, all of these sites are US-facing. Very few rooms besides the rooms directly affected by Black Friday have closed their doors to US players. Sure, these sites don't have the traffic that Poker Stars or Full Tilt Poker enjoyed, but most players will find adequate action at least at one of the available rooms.
Merge Gaming
Cake Poker
Yatahay
Everleaf Gaming
Bovada (formeraly Bodog)
The Merge Gaming Network
Even before the events of Black Friday, Merge Gaming has been a quiet favorite site of many players. With US players being shut out of top sites, Merge Gaming is now the top option available for US players. Traffic on the Merge Gaming network has skyrocketed over 70% since April 15th with new traffic records being broke by the day. They network is now a top 6 ".com" poker room.
We recommend Carbon Poker, which is the flagship site on the Merge Gaming Network, but there are also two other US-facing options for players.

The Cake Poker Network
The largest online poker room/network to offer rakeback is the Cake Poker Network. Cake Poker launched in 2006 and on most days during peak times sees over 1,000 real money players on their site.
PokerTrikz suggests Cake Poker, which is the flagship site of the network.
The Yatahay Network
The fifth largest network to accept players from the U.S. is the Yathay Network, which consists of PokerTrikz sites Americas Cardroom and True Poker. The room is the 3rd largest to offer traditional rakeback. Players who enjoy playing No Limit Hold'em ring games of $0.50/$1.00 and above should find plenty of games to their liking.

The Everleaf Gaming Network
The second largest room to offer rakeback to US players is the Everleaf Gaming Network. During peak times on the site, over 800 real money players can be seen playing. The network is also known for having one of the highest rakeback percentages in online poker -- 40%.
PokerTrikz recommends Minted Poker, a top Everleaf room established in 2005. Everleaf is a reatlively small room and we recommend the room primarily for players who play NL 1/2 and below. We also offer rakeback deals for RaiseandFold.

Bodog
Bovada (formerally Bodog) is the 2nd largest room to offer games to U.S. players. Players should be aware that the site does not offer rakeback or even a very good VIP program, but they do provide players with plenty of games at many different levels and game types, some of them very juicy. Note that Bodog does not show all active games in the lobby- full games are hidden. So if there looks like there are not many games available you may want to wait a bit longer.
